WELCOME!
¡BIENVENIDOS!
In
Sp 101, the main objective is to develop skills in the four areas of listening,
speaking, reading, and writing in the Spanish language.
Since the class will be conducted almost entirely in Spanish, your
ability to communicate in the language will develop along with your knowledge of
the vocabulary and grammatical structures of the language.
I.
ATTENDANCE.
Attending
class everyday is especially important in the summer when one day is equal to
three regular semester days. Accordingly,
the penalty for absences will begin to accrue after fewer have occurred.
I will deduct a point from your total grade for every absence over TWO
(2). Arriving late is also more
of a hindrance in the summer. Three
tardies equal one absence.
There
will be three major exams, according to the following schedule.
THE FINAL EXAM WILL BE COMPREHENSIVE.
